Jason Saul

Chief Executive Officer

Jason Saul is a leading expert in measuring performance in the social sector. He has advised some of the world’s leading corporations and nonprofits, including McDonald’s, Kraft Foods, Levi Strauss & Co., OfficeMax, Easter Seals, American Red Cross, the Humane Society of the U.S. and the Smithsonian. Jason is the Founder and CEO of Mission Measurement, LLC. In 1994, Jason co-founded the Center for What Works, a nonprofit organization focused on benchmarking. Jason began his career as an attorney, most recently at Mayer Brown LLP in Chicago where he represented government and nonprofit clients in public finance transactions.

Jason teaches performance measurement at the Center for Nonprofit Management at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, and is the author of Benchmarking for Nonprofits: How to Manage, Measure and Improve Performance. Jason is also on the faculty at Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship. He holds a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, an M.P.P. from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, and a B.A. in Government and French Literature from Cornell University. In 1989, Jason was awarded the Harry S. Truman Scholarship for leadership and public service. In 2001 Saul was selected as a Leadership Greater Chicago fellow.


Pranav Kothari

Managing Director

Pranav Kothari is Managing Director at Mission Measurement. Pranav guides his clients through the process of defining impact, developing outcomes, and establishing metrics to assess and improve the performance of social investments.

Pranav holds an A.B. in economics from Washington University in St. Louis and an MBA from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan in corporate strategy and organizational behavior. His professional experience includes strategy development, product development, business formation and government relations for Student Loan Funding and KnowledgeWorks Foundation.

Pranav currently serves on the advisory boards of the Economics Center for Education and Research at the University of Cincinnati and the Center for Economic Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago.


Kim Silver

Manager

As Manager of Mission Measurement, Kim works with clients through the process of developing outcomes, identifying metrics to assess and improve the performance of social investments and implementing simple processes to collect and report key metrics. Kim’s client work has included Kraft, Ronald McDonald House Charities Global, KnowledgeWorks Foundation, Levi Strauss Foundation and several other Fortune 500 companies, foundations and nonprofit organizations.

Kim’s prior professional experience includes managing new community initiatives for El Pomar Foundation, one of the largest operating foundations in Colorado; creating statewide youth program and policy initiatives through partnerships with national funders for the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services; and managing the client services team as well as benchmarking and feasibility studies for Grenzebach Glier & Associates, an international fundraising consultancy focused exclusively on higher education and healthcare clients.

Kim holds an B.A. in psychology from Colorado College and currently serves on the board of the Organic School Project based in Chicago.


Andrea Box

Manager

Andrea Box is a Manager at Mission Measurement.  She helps clients improve their decision making capabilities by developing ‘the right’ outcomes, metrics, and strategies that align with their overarching mission.

Before joining Mission Measurement, Andrea spent four years at McKinsey and Company where she focused on projects related to social enterprise, growth strategy, marketing and operations across many industries.  She also spent a year at America Online in their Operational Effectiveness Practice, and interned at Junior Achievement of Chicago, an educational non-profit, while in business school.

Andrea holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University as well as a BS and MS in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan.


Jonathan Sotsky

Consultant

Jonathan Sotsky is a Consultant at Mission Measurement. He works with corporate, nonprofit and foundation clients to develop approaches to data collection and management. Jon also helps clients design performance reports and conducts custom data analysis to investigate specific client strategy questions.

Before joining the Mission Measurement team, Jon worked at IBM as a Financial Management Consultant. There he worked with several Fortune 500 companies to analyze their data management systems and develop financial reports.

Jon graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cornell University with a B.S. in Applied Economics and Management. He currently serves as Board Treasurer for pH Productions, an improvisational comedy theater in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago.


Allison Johnson

Manager

In her role as a Consultant at Mission Measurement, Allison Johnson helps clients to articulate and measure their social impact.  Alli also helps clients apply the resulting data to their organizations’ budgeting, program design, and fundraising.  Alli has worked with a broad range of corporations and nonprofits, including Harris Bank, Easter Seals, and Keep America Beautiful.

Alli joined the firm with three years’ experience at Bain & Company, where she worked with a wide variety of corporate clients on projects ranging from growth strategy to operational improvement.  Between engagements at Bain, she spent time at the Civic Consulting Alliance, offering counsel and guidance to several departments within the City of Chicago. In addition to her client responsibilities, Alli led the office’s chapter of Inspire, a volunteer-run consulting group assisting non-profit clients with their strategic questions.

Alli earned her B.A. in Mathematics and Economics from Grinnell College in Grinnell, IA.  She currently serves on the Board of Directors for campusCATALYST, a Chicago-based nonprofit that develops cross-sectoral leaders by bringing together students, universities, nonprofits, and business leaders to make positive social change.


Eileen Yang

Consultant

Eileen Yang is a Consultant with Mission Measurement. Eileen helps her nonprofit and corporate clients frame and measure their social impact to inform and guide their strategic goals.

Prior to joining the Mission Measurement team, Eileen was a Senior Program Manager at New Sector Alliance, a nonprofit consulting and leadership development firm based in Boston, MA. At New Sector, she managed its Residency in Social Enterprise Program in addition to teams of MBA students working on strategic, capacity-building projects for nonprofits and social enterprises. Prior to joining New Sector Alliance, Eileen was an Associate Consultant within the strategy consulting practice of Fair Isaac Corporation, engaged on projects that ranged from operational effectiveness to market entry assessment.

Eileen is a founding board member and Treasurer of Global Medication Knowledge, an organization that seeks to use technology to bridge the medical knowledge gap between developed and developing nations. Eileen graduated cum laude from Yale University with a BA in Political Science.


Erin Simmons

Campaign Manager

Erin initiates and manages all communications outreach for Mission Measurement. Erin joined Mission Measurement from Bell Pottinger USA, a global government, technology and healthcare public relations agency in Boston, MA. There she worked with various clients to establish editorial, speaking and award campaigns.

Before moving to Chicago, Erin spent a short time on site in Buffalo, NY as Campaign Coordinator during the Erie County Legislature Primary elections. During her time there, she organized election timelines and action items, coordinated all volunteers and delegated headquarters database management and operations.

Erin graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northeastern University in Boston, MA with a B.A. in English and a minor in Communications.


Rick Groves

Analyst

As an analyst for Mission Measurement, Rick works on refining metrics as well as designing and implementing data capture tools for the firm’s corporate and non-profit clients.  Rick also provides analysis and designs custom reports to address specific client needs.

Prior to joining Mission Measurement in the spring of 2008, Rick spent four years with Grenzebach Glier and Associates, a philanthropic management consulting firm also located in Chicago.   In the Analytics division at GG+A, Rick served over 200 clients in higher education, health care, and social service, providing services such as philanthropic performance analysis, prospect screening, and benchmarking.

Rick holds a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Sociology and Political Science, with a concentration in analysis and research.


Aneesa Arshad

Analyst

Aneesa Arshad is an Analyst with Mission Measurement.  Aneesa works primarily with corporate giving and social responsibility programs and departments to develop measurement frameworks and inform related strategy. She also oversees the corporate social responsibility blog- thenewcsr.com.  

Aneesa graduated with honors from Northwestern University with a B.S. in Social Policy and History and a minor in Legal Studies.  At Northwestern, Aneesa served as the Student Government’s Vice President of Finance, a role in which she developed and managed a $1.2 million budget for the forty largest student groups.  On campus, Aneesa also helped launch campusCATALYST- a student driven consulting corps for non-profit organizations- and served as the Campus Coordinator.  Recognized for these leadership experiences, she was selected to participate in the McKinsey Summer Leadership Summit in 2007.  During her undergraduate career, Aneesa also worked for Senator Barack Obama.
