Where We Are
At Mission Measurement, we walk the talk. The same measurement principles that we impart to our clients are applied to our own business. Every day we operate according to our outcomes framework and every quarter we review progress along our performance metrics.
How We Define Our Success
We define our success in terms of our work, our team, our business, and our field.
- Our Work: By the end of each engagement, we want our clients to have a sustainable culture of measurement. That culture could be evidenced by things as simple as having regular reporting intervals, to having an internal champion, to building measurement into individual performance reviews. And, along the way, we want our clients to have as much fun working with us as we have working with them. We measure our success through client satisfaction, referrals, and the extent to which our clients have adopted a measurement culture. Read our client case studies for specific examples of our clients’ success.
- Our Team: What is a company but a collection of individuals working for a common goal? The stronger our team, the more effective we are for our clients. It is critical for us to attract the best people out there both experienced in the field and passionate about social impact, which we measure by the quality of our applicants and efficiency of our recruiting process. Equally as important is our ability to maintain passion for our work and to have fun working together—as evidenced by our impromptu game of Monopoly in LaGuardia, and measured by employee satisfaction and retention. We have a collaborative, engaged, and entrepreneurial culture—and we laugh a lot. Learn more about us by reading our bios.
- Our Business: No aspect of our success would be possible without the robustness and sustainability of our financial position, which, in turn, is fortified by the quality of our work – inspiring client referrals and repeat business. We measure our financial stability through revenue growth, efficiency, and a careful analysis of our client pipeline.
- Our Field: Measuring social impact is not just something we’re thinking about here at Mission Measurement; it is a hot topic for everyone in this field. Nonprofits, foundations, corporate giving programs—all of these entities are feeling pressure from donors, funders, board members, and internal management to demonstrate the impact of their programs. We raise visibility of the importance and potential for outcomes measurement through speaking at conferences, discussing current topics on our blog, and writing books and articles.
