Our Approach
At Mission Measurement, all of our services are built around our belief that clear outcomes are the key to good measurement and good strategy. Using measurement after-the-fact as an accountability or compliance tool will never deliver breakthrough results. The most successful initiatives build-in measurement at the front-end, to drive strategy, and continuously monitor results along the way.
- Outcomes-based approach: We help clients develop a structured set of widely applicable outcomes that represent real, near-term impact in the form of a desired change in status, condition, or behavior that results from a particular set of programs or activities.
- Meaningful contribution: Rather than encompassing volumes of data of varying relevance, we focus on a small set of core indicators that correlate to desired measurement objectives.
- Comprehensive and integrated: We help clients identify the types of impact that would be comprehensive and represent impact areas in terms of both social and business value.
At Mission Measurement, we have deep expertise in measuring impact for a range of sectors, each of which has its own unique set of drivers, investors and measurement requirements. To meet these ends, we offer two types of services to our clients:
- Measurement: We help clients to measure and evaluate grants, programs and social initiatives. We work collaboratively with our clients to develop the right outcomes, define meaningful performance measures and implement data collection and reporting systems.
- Applied Measurement: Measurement is not an end in itself; measurement is a system of thinking that helps organizations to achieve greater impact. To that end, we offer a range of services that help organizations – large and small - to develop breakthrough social innovation strategies and attract greater resources by “selling your impact.”
Our specialized practice teams work with leading institutions in the corporate, education, nonprofit, grantmaker and public sectors and advance the field with regular thought leadership contribution.
