The Products

Mission Measurement has pioneered a suite of impact tools for decision-makers in government and philanthropy who collectively spend $6 trillion annually on social programs. The Impact Genome® is a subscription-based platform that provides tools to evaluate and benchmark social programs, estimate ROI, and aggregate and track investment portfolio impact.  The platform is operational and is currently in use in the market today as a 1.0 version.



The Position

MM is growing quickly, and we are seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and forward-thinking app developer to join our team. This is a unique full-time opportunity for an individual interested in building a system and set of products that Government and Nonprofit world-changers use day in and day out to maximize the results of their social change initiatives. You will be tasked with building world-class products that delight subscribers, and internal systems that enable the creation, analysis, and distribution of a new generation of impact data.


The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-moving start-up environment, is motivated to create disruptive, transformational products, and wants to feel ownership for the success of the product.


Roles & Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include:

  • Product Evolution: work with the VP of Data & Analytics, the CEO, and the leadership team to identify and execute development priorities and ensure development efforts align to business priorities.
  • Software Development: deliver world-class products and internal software that delight users and generate regular engagement and recurring revenue.
  • Market feedback: translate and incorporate feedback from subscribers, prospects, and thought leaders to ensure our products are depended upon by our core customers.
  • Team building: help us to build and manage a best-in-class developer team
  • Reflect our firm’s core values while achieving our collective goals




  • Experience building analytical consumer or B2B web applications for non-expert users
  • Proficiency in React, Node.js, HTML, CSS, pixel-perfect software that is cross-browser, mobile responsive, and standards compliant
  • Experience with:
    • NoSQL, MySQL, and API integration
    • Common web prototyping and design tools (e.g., Adobe XD, Sketch, Invision)
    • Data visualization (e.g., D3.js, ReCharts)
  • Desire to interact with key internal (executive) and external (subscriber) stakeholders
  • Passion for creating social impact
  • Highly technical, creative, entrepreneurial
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, start-up environment, including
    • Willingness to roll up sleeves and problem solve
    • Comfort flexing up and down as needed to get the work done
    • Passion for innovation; comfort with uncertainty
    • Can-do attitude and comfort with ambiguity
  • Bachelor’s degree required
